Pallet dance floor – The pallet is a great material to use to create a vintage and affordable dance floor. Simply separate the slats, usually 2 by 4 and reassemble so that they together flush. It may be a raised or level ground dance floor. Either way, your project will last for years and be kind to your pocket.
Rake the area where you would like to build an outdoor pallet dance floor, or if inside, clean the area. I use a level bar to check multiple points to make sure the zone is level enough to work on. And then, count the number of 2 by 4 on each platform. Measure the length of the 2 by 4 on the pallets and calculate how many will be require to create a standard 16 by 16 foot dance floor. You will need to create a 16 foot square frame, four, and 16 foot long 2 by 4 stretches.
Build pallet dance floor, remove each 2-by-4 pallet with the end of a hammer to remove all screws or nails. Then, construct a 16 foot measurement frame on each side. Build according to how much the best boards are, so that the pieces can be screw into the frame. Create two or three 16-foot long Union pieces within the frame. For example, if the 2 by 4 is 4 feet long, you will need to construct three, evenly spaced 16 feet seams within your frame. Attach the frame to each set using the 3-inch long screws.
